Overview

Course Description

Diabetes and heart disease often go hand in hand. Over time, high blood sugar can damage blood vessels and the nerves that control a patient's heart. Individuals with diabetes are also more likely to have other conditions that raise the risk for heart disease such as high blood pressure, high levels of LDL, high triglycerides, etc.

This event aims to educate Pharmacists on the current trends and acceptable practices in the management of Diabetes, Heart Failure and Dislipidemia, with regards to SGLT2 receptor blockers and Statins.
