Course Description

This series of engagements aims at training and equipping healthcare professionals like, Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technologists in the current management of asthma. This course has been designed to run in four parts. (three theoretical components and one face-to-face component) , totaling 8 modules.

This training program aims to

1. Educative HCP in Asthma, Burden, Epidemiology & Pathophysiology
2. Educate HCP in Diagnosis & Lung Function in relation to asthma management
3. Introduce HCPs to Asthma Management Guidelines & Treatment Options
4. Acute Asthma Management, Role of Nebulization
5. Introduce HCPs to Devices/ Inhalers used in Asthma management
6. Introduce HCPs to the role of Patient Education & Self-Management in asthma management
7. Put emphasis on the Role of the Pharmacists in Asthma Management
8. Educate HCP on the use of various devices through workshops
