Course Description

Over the years, Hemorrhoidal disease management continue to be increasingly challenging to general practioners and surgical specialists. The influx of other treatment options; both holistic and non-holistic approaches remains debatable in the effectiveness of therapeutic outcomes. To differentiate and commence treatment between the grades of hemorrhoidal diseases, these are essential before conducting hemorrhoidectomy at the surgical phase.

Through the expert opinions of a surgical consultants, this training will focus on the types of grades of hemorrhoidal diseases and how to tackle management of all grades of hemorrhoidal disease at the primary care level before their referral to surgery if deemed appropriate.

What you will learn

By the end of the training, participants should be able to

1. Classify all cases of hemorrhoidal disease to their respective grades based on the signs and symptoms.
2. Understand the need to commence treatment for hemorrhoidal disease patients and to counsel on lifestyle modifications.
3. Acknowledge guidelines and recommendations from various global coloproctology societies
4. Understand the position of Phlebotrophic agents and the need to optimize them in the management of hemorrhoidal disease for patients.
5. Appreciate the need to effectively screen, treat, and relieve patients of their signs and symptoms with effective therapeutic agents.
