Ghanaian Society of Cardiology – World Heart Day CPD Program

The Ghanaian Society of Cardiology (GSC) is pleased to invite healthcare professionals and stakeholders to its upcoming virtual Continuous Professional Development (CPD) event in celebration of World Heart Day 2024. This comprehensive training program aims to provide insights into the essential role of self-care in preventing and managing cardiovascular diseases (CVDs). The CPD program will be facilitated by highly qualified and vastly experienced individuals from the field of cardiology, ensuring a rich and informative session for all attendees. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in an interactive Q&A session.

 

THEME: Use Heart for Action

World Heart Day 2024 centers around the theme, "Use Heart for Action," which emphasizes the importance of taking actionable steps toward heart health. In line with this global theme, the CPD program adopts a focused approach on self-care, recognizing it as a fundamental and proactive strategy in combating cardiovascular diseases. Through this training, participants will explore the pivotal role of self-care in both preventing and managing conditions such as heart failure and hypertension, reinforcing the need for individuals to take control of their heart health.

Overview

Course Description

This virtual CPD training event, organized by the Ghanaian Society of Cardiology (GSC) in celebration of World Heart Day 2024, will focus on the importance of self-care in the prevention and management of cardiovascular diseases. Designed for healthcare professionals, the program will cover essential topics such as self-care strategies for heart failure and hypertension, and the overall concept of self-care in cardiovascular health. Facilitated by experienced experts in cardiology, participants will benefit from up-to-date, evidence-based insights and an engaging Q&A session. This event will equip attendees with practical knowledge to better support patients in adopting effective self-care measures to improve heart health and prevent disease progression.
