Overview

Course Description

This course is designed to develop the confidence and the competence of hospital-based healthcare professionals (HCPs) to allow them to make sound, patient-centered clinical decisions to safely manage oral anticoagulant therapy. The course is comprised of three modules covering the current guidelines in anticoagulation therapy, clinical updates on Atrial Fibrillation (AF) and Stroke Prevention, guidelines on the prevention of thromboembolism in trauma, and orthopedic patients. The course content will be available on this platform to provide learners with the opportunity to discuss the material viewed, share and debate best practices, and develop support networks for the future.

What you will learn

By the end of this training, it is hoped that participants will learn:
1. Current guidelines in anticoagulation therapy.
2. Clinical updates on Atrial Fibrillation and Stroke Prevention.
3. Current guidelines on the prevention of Thromboembolism in Trauma and Orthopaedic patients.
4. Gain an understanding of their integral role in anticoagulation therapy.
