Overview

Course Description

This virtual CPD training, organized by GHOSPA, will provide pharmacists with with a practical understanding of the fundamental principles and appropriate use of parenteral nutrition (PN) in patient care. The course explores the indications for PN and supports participants in determining when and how it should be appropriately used to meet patients’ nutritional needs. Facilitated by highly experienced professionals, the session will cover key fundamentals and principles of Parenteral Nutrition (PN), including the indications for its use and considerations for determining when PN is appropriate. It will also explore the formulation and optimization of PN regimens, effective monitoring and management of patients receiving PN, strategies to improve the safety and effectiveness of PN, and the practical application of these concepts through relevant clinical case studies.. Participants will also engage in a dynamic Q&A session, gaining practical insights to improve their clinical practice and patient outcomes.
