Professor Kobina Nkyekyer is an alumnus of the University of Ghana Medical School and is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology of the same institution. He is also a consultant Obstetrician/Gynaecologist in the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. He is a foundation Fellow of the Ghana College of Physicians & Surgeons, a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (UK).
He holds a Fellowship in Medical Education from the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER), USA. He has previously served as Vice-Dean for Medical Education, College of Health Sciences, University of Ghana, and Faculty Secretary and later Faculty Chairman of the Faculty of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ghana College of Physicians & Surgeons (GCPS). He is currently the College Chief Examiner for the GCPS and serves on the College’s Academic Board.
He is a member of the Education Committee of the Ghana Medical & Dental Council and has served on several accreditation committees of the Council for accreditation visits to Medical and Dental Schools and Physician Assistants’ Training Programmes in Ghana.
