Prof. Jean Claude Nganou MBANYA is a Professor of Medicine, Endocrinology and Diabetes at the University of Yaoundé I, Yaoundé, Cameroon. He is also the Director of the Biotechnology Centre at the same institution.
Prof. Mbanya is the Postgraduate Dean of the Doctoral School of Life, Health and Environment Sciences, Biotechnology Centre, University of Yaoundé I. Additionally, he is the Dean of the College of Biological Sciences at the Cameroon Academy of Sciences.
He is a Consultant Physician and Chief of the Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases Unit at the Hôpital Central Yaoundé, Cameroon. He is the Director at the National Obesity Centre Hôpital Central Yaoundé, Cameroon, as well at the Director of the Health of Population in Transition Research Group in Cameroon.
He is the past president of IDF (2009-2012) and the Hononary président of IDF.
