
Dr. Sarah Jarvis is a highly experienced General Practitioner, medical broadcaster, author, and clinical consultant. Over the course of her career, she has combined frontline clinical work with influential roles in public education and media. She has served as a long-standing partner and trainer at Richford Gate Medical Practice in London and continues to work as a locum GP. Her clinical interests span cardiometabolic health, dermatology, and women’s health.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Jarvis is widely recognized for her work in health communication. She is the resident doctor for BBC Radio 2 and BBC One's The One Show, and regularly appears as a medical expert on ITV News, BBC Breakfast, and Channel 5’s Jeremy Vine Show. She has authored multiple health books for the public, including Diabetes for Dummies, Pregnancy for Dummies, and Children’s Health for Dummies, and has edited award-winning health publications.
Dr. Jarvis also has extensive experience as a speaker and chair at international medical congresses, and currently serves as a Clinical Consultant for Patient.info. Her contributions to improving public understanding of health were formally recognized with an MBE. She holds a Visiting Professorship in General Practice at the University of Huddersfield and remains active in academic, media, and clinical circles.
