Dr Nana Ama Kuntuah Wadee is a clinical oncologist at the National Centre for Radiotherapy, Oncology and Nuclear Medicine, Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, where she delivers personalised radiotherapy, chemotherapy and targeted‑therapy plans and chairs multidisciplinary discussions to optimise patient outcomes. Her practice is anchored in the molecular biology of cancer and prioritises the translation of biomedical research into evidence‑based care. Her academic development combines a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the School of Medical Sciences at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, followed by membership of the Ghana College of Physicians in the Faculty of Oncology and Radiotherapy. Before her current post she advanced through residency and senior medical‑officer roles at the same tertiary centre, managing solid tumours, administering radiation therapy and providing counselling and palliative support, while also leading breast‑cancer screening and public‑awareness initiatives. Earlier appointments at the Ghana Institute of Clinical Genetics deepened her skills in chronic‑disease management, clinical governance and medical‑supplies procurement, and house‑officer rotations in surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics, gynaecology and internal medicine strengthened her foundation in acute and chronic care.

Dr Wadee contributes to professional education across West Africa, presenting on topics such as immunotherapy for triple‑negative breast cancer, advances in adjuvant treatment for epidermal‑growth‑factor‑mutated non‑small‑cell lung cancer and the management of metastatic hormone‑receptor‑positive breast cancer. Through her combined clinical, academic and teaching commitments, she fosters a culture of rigorous, patient‑centred oncology and works to expand access to innovative cancer therapies in Ghana and the wider region.
