Dr (Mrs). F. Amah Nkansah is a Consultant Clinical Pharmacist and a Deputy Director of Pharmacy at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH), Accra, Ghana. She is a part-time lecturer at both the School of Pharmacy, College of Health Sciences, University of Ghana, and also in the Department of Clinical & Social Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, KNUST, Kumasi, Ghana.

She is an Elected Fellow of the West African Postgraduate College of Pharmacists (FPCPharm), a Foundation Fellow of the Ghana College of Pharmacists (FGCPharm), a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGh), a member of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP): a Member of the Ghana Thoracic Society, a Member of the African Organisation for Research & Training in Cancer and a Council member of the Breast Society of Ghana and a Member of the Ghana Hospital Pharmacists Association (GHOSPA) and many other Committees.

She is a professionally competent and highly qualified pharmacist with about 30 years of working experience in hospital pharmacy, community pharmacy, academia, healthcare administration, and research. She has extensive experience in clinical pharmacy leadership in hospital practice settings, Clinical Guidelines & Policy Development at the national level. She has attended and presented as a resource person at several international and local conferences.

Her expertise has been sought and engaged on several projects including being a Member of the National Guidelines for Cancer Management for Ministry of Health - Ghana, 2017, a Member of the National Medicines Selection Committee (NMSC) for the preparation of Standard Treatment Guidelines, Seventh(7th) Edition, 2017 for the Ministry of Health – Ghana, a Member of a Group of Experts, for the Review of Draft Standards for Pharmaceutical Care in Ghana, Volume 2. May 2016, a Contributor for the Ghana Pharmacy Professional Qualifying Examination Model Questions with Answers and Comments. Volume 1 & 2, an Expert Member for the Review of the National Health Insurance Medicines List 2007, an Expert & Member of the Editorial Committee for the preparation of Standard Treatment Guidelines - 2000, 2004, 2010 for the Ministry of Health, Ghana. A Member of the Editorial Committee for the review of Essential Drugs List 2000, 2004 & 2010 for the Ministry of Health, Ghana. A Course Coordinator for Distance Learning Clinical Pharmacy Training between RGU, Scotland and MoH, Ghana (January 2001-December 2002), and a Member of a Group of Experts, for the Review of Draft Standards for Pharmaceutical Care in Ghana, May 2001-Oct. 2002.

Dr/Mrs. Nkansah is an outstanding and well-published academic with several peer-reviewed publications in local and international journals.
