Dr. Eric Asare Asamoa is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons, the Medical College in Dentistry, Nigeria; and a foundation Fellow of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons.
He was a lecturer at the Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Nigeria, and the University of Ghana Dental School, where he later became an external examiner. Dr. Asamoah worked as a Clinician Consultant Dental Surgeon across various Facilities in Nigeria and Ghana including the Greater Accra Regional Hospital providing clinical service, teaching, and horsemanship training, and also acted as the Medical Superintendent from 2002-2004. He is an Examiner in Dental Surgery for the West African College of Surgeons. Dr. Eric Asamoah is a past President of the Ghana Dental Association, past National Executive of the Ghana Medical Association, and Vice President of the African Regional Organisation of the FDI, and had also served as a Board Member of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons.
He had served on the board of the Medical and Dental Council, Ghana from 2006, and was elected Treasurer of the Board from 2006 to 2011, after which term, he became Chairman of the Board of the Medical and Dental Council from 2011-2016. Dr. Asamoah is a researcher and has authored and co-authored publications in respected peer-reviewed journals globally.
