Dr. Ebenezer Nii Ashalley Nikoi is a self-motivated and goal-oriented senior physician specialist and endocrinologist, recognized for his excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Dr. Nikoi's clinical expertise is anchored in his current role as a Senior Physician Specialist and Endocrinologist at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, where he leads clinical ward rounds, runs weekly endocrine clinics, and organizes clinical meetings and mortality audits. He is actively involved in teaching and training medical students, house officers, and residents. His previous experiences include a fellowship in Endocrinology, during which he gained extensive exposure to emergency services, specialized clinics, and research.

Dr. Nikoi has a wealth of experience in managing various clinical responsibilities. At Ridge Regional Hospital, he led physician specialist clinics and supervised weekly clinical meetings, in addition to teaching medical students preparing for licensure exams. His experience also extends to specialized training in a wide range of medical disciplines, including Diabetes, Cardiology, and Gastroenterology, as well as performing complex procedures such as thoracocentesis and lumbar punctures. Earlier in his career, he held pivotal roles at both Ridge Regional and Korle-Bu Teaching Hospitals, where he managed emergency services and trained junior doctors.

His academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Clinical Endocrinology from Queen Mary University of London, where he earned a distinction, reflecting his academic excellence. He also holds a Fellowship in Endocrinology, along with memberships in Internal Medicine from the Ghana College of Physicians and the West African College of Physicians. His teaching experience is notable, having served as a lecturer at the Accra College of Medicine and the School of Anaesthesia at Ridge Regional Hospital.

Dr. Nikoi has contributed to medical literature with publications in esteemed journals, focusing on topics such as thiazide-associated hyponatremia and parathyroid hormone resistance. He has also participated in various professional development programs and workshops, including sessions on neuroendocrine tumors, diabetes management, and health administration. His leadership positions within the medical community include his role as Secretary of the Diabetes, Endocrine, and Metabolic Society of Ghana, as well as leadership roles at Ridge Regional Hospital.
